This DIY Chocolate Lip Balm is easy to make and works like a charm. Protect your pucker with some all-natural balm that smells and tastes delicious!
1 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon cocoa butter
1/2 teaspoon vitamin E oil
2 teaspoons grated beeswax (you can get small pieces at Whole Foods)
8-10 Krisda Sugar-Free Chocolate Chips
3-4 drops peppermint oil (optional)
lip gloss or chap stick container(s)
Put all of the ingredients into a microwave safe bowl or measuring cup, preferably with a spout, and heat for a minute or slightly longer on medium until melted. Stir until mixed and carefully pour into your containers. Let them cool completely before applying.
Store in your purse or in the fridge, but be cautious that it can melt in very warm conditions! Apply with your finger or a small brush.
This recipe makes enough to fill up more than one small container, so you can either cut the recipe in half or grab all of your extra chap stick or lip gloss containers. Just dig out the old stuff and fill with this Chocolate Lip Balm. It should keep for a couple months, longer in the fridge.
